CWSA Wakesurf World Championship Geneva 2024

After numerous competitions around the world, the Wakesurf World Championship was finally held in Europe, specifically in Geneva, Switzerland. 🌍

The world’s best riders had gathered on Lake Geneva, more precisely at Tropical Corner, to battle it out on the superb wave of the Centurion Ri245.

You had to be among the top eight in each category to receive an invitation to the CWSA Wakesurf World Championship Geneva 2024. The most talented athletes, from the USA, Japan, Korea, Russia, France and of course Switzerland, were present.

Representing Black Revolt, we had the cream of European riders: Olivier Scokaert, Julien Prudencio, Jeff DeGiacomi, Tatiana Bosshard, Matia Erba, and Alain Viviand. The only one missing was Jennifer Edwards, who was unable to attend due to the birth of her son, William. 👶🎉

In Pro Skim, our Franco-Belgian rider Olivier Scokaert won by a wide margin over American rider Landen Poplawski. In Pro Surf, Julien Prudencio finished in 5th place after a run in challenging conditions.

In Amateur Skim, Jeff Degiacomi won the World Championship title, as well as Tatiana Bosshard in Female Master Surf — a big congratulations to both of them for their performances! 🏆

In Amateur Surf, Matia Erba, our rider from Ticino, finished in 3rd place, and in Amateur Skim, Adina Vetch finished in 6th place with her Stiletto.

In Master Surf, Alain Viviand missed the podium by a few points, finishing in 4th place, and in Master Surf Women, Ludivine Duboulay finished in 5th place, while our friend Marine Schmidt finished the event in 9th position.

This is the brand’s most impressive record ever achieved at a World Championship: 3 World Championship titles, one 3rd place, one 4th place, and two 5th places. The small brand, born on the shores of Lake Annecy, has earned its place on the most prestigious podiums through perseverance and hard work. A huge congratulations to all the riders and friends who support Black Revolt! 🙌🖤

Congratulations to Joan and the entire GVA Wakesurf Tour team for finally bringing the Wakesurf World Championship to Europe! It was a first, and the gamble paid off handsomely. 🎉

Thank you to the Geneva Nautical Society for hosting and partially funding the event, and to Cention Boat Switzerland for providing the boats. 🙏

We hope to see an event of this caliber back in Europe very soon! The next CWSA Worlds will take place in 2025 in the USA and in 2026 in Japan. 🌍🌊
